Road toll: One dead as car slams into Roe Highway bridge pillar in Langford

One person is dead after a car slammed into a bridge pillar on Roe Highway early this morning.

Major crash investigators spent hours examining the crumpled wreck on the median strip to determine the cause of the Langford crash which happened just after 3am. The person was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The crash has now been cleared.

Earlier Main Roads WA closed Roe Highway from South Street to Nicholson Road. Traffic continues to be heavy in the area.
