A man has been flown to Perth for urgent medical treatment after he was hit by a car in the South West on Wednesday morning. Police said the man was hit by the vehicle near the corner of Bussell Highway and Higgins Street in Margaret River just before 6am. The man, aged in his 40s, is believed to have suffered serious injuries in the incident. Multiple St John WA crews arrived on the scene. Paramedics made the decision to airlift the man to Royal Perth Hospital due to the extent of his injuries. The chopper left Margaret River just after 8am.
