Police are seeking help from any witnesses after a 23-year-old man died overnight in a vehicle crash near Rosa Brook.

The man was driving a Volkswagen panel van east from Margaret River when police claim the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

The victim was a local resident, but speed and other factors would form part of the investigation, a WA Police spokesman said.

Officers were notified about the crash by residents about 10.20pm last night.

Police, St John Ambulance and Department of Fire and Emergency Service officers attended, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
