One dead and three injured after two serious crashes in Guildford and Queenwood

One person has died and three have been hospitalised after two serious crashes in Perth and the South West last night.

The first crash happened about 7pm last night, when a bronze Toyota Landcruiser Utility travelling west on Donnybrook-Boyup Brook Road in Queenwood slammed into a tree that had fallen onto the road.

The 32-year-old driver, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene.

The second crash happened about two hours later when a car travelling along Meadow St in Guilford hit a tree while turning into the Swan St intersection.

The impact caused the car to roll onto its roof.

The driver and two passengers were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital and Midland Hospital for treatment.

Major Crash investigators are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online.
