RAC rescue helicopter sent to injured surfer in Prevelly south of Margaret River

The RAC Rescue helicopter has taken a man to hospital after he was injured while surfing in Prevelly.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident about 10.15am on Friday morning.

It is understood a surfer, a man in his 30s, had fallen off his board into the water and was injured.

Those injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

St John WA, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services and State Emergency Services personnel were at the scene.

The RAC Rescue helicopter took the man to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment.
