Housing Industry Association WA executive director Cath Hart will join The West Live this morning to discuss the strong demand for the State Government’s Building Bonus Program, which has prompted Premier Mark McGowan to announce a further $30 million boost.

She’s expected to discuss the record land sales, outline eligibility for the $20,000 grants and explain why there has been such a push to extend the scheme’s deadline.

The additional funding takes the stimulus package to $147 million, after more than 283 applications were submitted, with 96 approved and $1.92 million paid out to date.

Ms Hart will also reveal the association’s latest data that shows WA is leading the nation when it comes to homebuilding.
