Notorious Perth vegan activist Tash Peterson, who has recently been banned from every licenced venue in WA, has targeted a Melbourne KFC restaurant in her latest animal cruelty stunt.

Peterson, along with a group of demonstrators armed with fake blood, a megaphone and audio of chickens shrieking in agony, stormed the busy fast food joint yesterday for around 15 minutes before being removed by police.

The controversial 27-year-old left Perth after being served with a barring notice by WA Police in June for a string of similar demonstrations, vowing to continue her activism elsewhere.

In a video posted online, Peterson is seen pouring red paint on the floor of the fried chicken restaurant while yelling at diners with a megaphone and accusing them of being complicit in an “animal holocaust”.

“KFC murder six week old babies who are shackled by their feet, electrocuted in a bath of water and have their throat slit (sic),” she wrote on her social media page.

“The world’s longest and largest holocaust in history is happening right now in the meat, dairy and egg industries.

“If you are not vegan you are an animal abuser and you are paying for a holocaust. The largest and longest holocaust in history.”

The protest was not appreciated by disrupted customers trying to eat their lunch, with one person yelling “no wonder people hate vegans” back at Peterson.

Peterson gained notoriety in 2019 for accosting shoppers at Coles, dressed as a blood-soaked abattoir worker, and holding a fake dead chicken under her arm.

She has also dressed in bloodied aprons and stormed into other supermarkets and restaurants like McDonald’s.

Most recently the 27-year-old was slapped with a fine for ambushing diners at a Bathers Beach seafood restaurant in Fremantle and publicly chastising them about the “fish holocaust”.

She also interrupted an AFLW match by running onto the field at Optus Stadium.

The serial protester ran around for about a minute before she was tackled by Fremantle midfielder Kiara Bowers and security guards caught up with her.
