Four Western Australians will face court after detectives seized $770,385 cash and 60 Cannabis plants as part of an investigation into a Vietnamese criminal network.

A woman from NSW was also arrested as part of the raids.

Following the investigation, WA Police allege crime squad detectives searched an East Cannington property, in Perth’s south, where they found the money, plants and four people inside.

A 35-year-old woman, a 39-year-old man and 43-year-old man, all from East Cannington in Perth, were found inside with a 28-year-old woman from New South Wales.

They were individually charged with a number of offences including possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property and failing to obey data access order.

They are all due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on separate dates between March and June this year.

It is further alleged that $499,500 was given to the NSW woman by a 28-year-old man from Como.

He was charged with money laundering and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court in April.

Proceeds of Crime Squad Detective Brody Van Nieuwburg said the evidence showed a well-planned criminal network was in operation.

“The cycle of organised crime relies heavily on money laundering to exist,“ Senior Constable Van Nieuwburg said.

“Through operations like this, we are able to remove those profits, dismantle established networks and establish new intelligence and lines of investigation for our intelligence and law enforcement partners.
