Perth is heading for a 32C scorcher before a cool change brings showers and the chance of a thunderstorm.
The city will reach 24C on Monday before temperatures climb to 28C on Tuesday and peak at 32C on Wednesday.
But the heat will be short-lived, with a maximum of just 23C forecast on Thursday as showers move across Perth and a morning thunderstorm remains possible.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a sunny Monday, with easterly winds of 15 to 25km/h easing around the middle of the day.
The temperature will drop to a minimum of 11C overnight before Tuesday warms to 28C.
Wednesday’s minimum is forecast to be 15C, with mostly sunny conditions before a medium chance of showers develops in the afternoon and evening.
Thursday will also start at 15C, with a very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning, and the chance of a thunderstorm.
The maximum will remain at 23C and cloudy on Friday after a minimum of 13C.
The weekend is expected to remain relatively mild, with a 12C minimum building to a comfortable 24C on Saturday, with Sunday tipped to reach 23C.
Showers remain possible on both days.
