Perth is in for a welcome burst of sunshine and mild winter temperatures before showers make a return at the end of the weekend.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting four consecutive dry days, with temperatures climbing from 18C on Wednesday to a pleasant 20C on Saturday.
But the mornings will remain chilly, with many waking to a low of 5.5C just after 7am on Wednesday before the mercury climbs to 18C under sunny skies.
Thursday will be much the same, with another crisp start of 7C before sunshine and light easterly winds push the temperature to 18C.
Friday shapes as another cracker, with mostly sunny skies, a brisk 6C start and a top of 19C.
The mercury will climb another degree on Saturday, making it the warmest day of the week.
A sunny morning and a slight chance of a shower developing later in the afternoon or evening will be shaped by a 20C maximum.
However, the fine spell won’t last.
A cold front is expected to brush Perth on Sunday, bringing a high chance of showers and cooler conditions.
Temperatures will slip back to 18C as a south-westerly wind keeps things fresh.
The chance of rain eases again on Monday, with the possibility of an isolated shower and a top of 19C.
By Tuesday, Perth will be back to partly cloudy skies and dry conditions, with another mild winter day forecast and a top of 19C.
