Kelly enjoyed a successful first season with the Eagles after a huge trade brought the former Geelong Cat home to WA last year and the gun midfielder took this break to take “one for the team” for his family.

“Another chapter in our book of life has closed, A decision that wasn’t easy but we chose was the best for our boys and our family,” Miller’s post read.

“So blessed to have had my babies with my best friend and a man I love so much, We have three beautiful boys to love for the rest of our lives.

“Forever a family of five + my baby girl Cilla.

“Thanks Tim for taking this one for the team. Love you baby”

Miller has previously opened up about the struggles of raising three young boys, two of which have been diagnosed with autism.

The move back to Western Australia from Victoria provided relief to have friends and family nearby to support the family unit.

“(Caitlin cried) tears of joy. Like a weight has been taken off her shoulders,” Kelly said after arriving at the Eagles.

“That was the feeling among the family, thrilled, rapt, she can't wait to get all the boys their West Coast gear and get them all in blue and gold.

“It's been really emotional for both myself, Caitlin and the family but ultimately, we know it's the right decision.”
